Guitar Theory & Ear Training Quizzes
Practice mode is the drill room: name notes on the neck, build intervals and chords, identify key signatures, Roman numerals and inversions, and train your ear on intervals, chord qualities, scale degrees, cadence types, rhythms and melodies — with the fretboard itself as your answer sheet. The ear-training suite is fretboard-native: you answer by tapping the neck, which trains exactly the connection soloing needs.
Every drill adapts: a smart mode tracks what you miss and serves it more often, the way flashcards should work. The ear trainer, interval drills, note naming, one-minute chord changes and the strumming trainer are free; a further set of theory drills — sheet reading, chord and scale building, Roman numerals, inversions — comes with Pro.
ThunderFret is built by one guitarist. Something broken or confusing? Tell me — every report is read.
