Triads are the small three-note shapes that live inside every big chord — the vocabulary behind countless verse riffs, fills and R&B/funk parts. This trainer lights all three inversions of any triad quality on any string set, labeled R·3·5, so you can see how the same three notes rearrange as you move up the neck.

The voice-leading demo is the payoff: it plays a whole chord progression using the nearest inversion of each chord, so no finger ever moves more than a couple of frets. That trick — moving to the closest available shape instead of jumping — is what makes chord changes sound smooth, and seeing it animated on the neck teaches it faster than any diagram.
