THUNDERFRET

Jam Backing Band — Solo Over Live Chord Changes

Jam mode is a backing band that teaches: pick a style — 12-bar blues, rock, funk — and a key, and a full band (recorded drums, a real plucked bass, chords) plays while the fretboard lights the notes that fit, brightening the chord tones as every change arrives. The solo guide grades up with you: start by shadowing the scale, then target roots, then chord tones — the actual path from noodling to soloing.

An example-lick button composes a phrase over the current chord whenever you want ideas, and Pro players can jam over progressions they wrote themselves in the Composer. Jam mode is part of ThunderFret Pro, and it is the reason to learn everything the free tool teaches: this is where the theory gets played.

ThunderFret is built by one guitarist. Something broken or confusing? Tell me — every report is read.
